Scotty and Joey give Gareth Bale the Kiss of Death

Gareth Bale, best winger Britain has produced in decades or the worst diver the premier league has ever seen? Love him or hate him Bale can definitely not be ignored. His run of form in recent games has been incredible, whether by ”winning” free kicks or bombing down the wings Bale has singlehandedly made Spurs look like a champions league team. No mean feat I am sure you will agree.

What stoked my interest last week though was the fulsome praise he received from messers Cole and Parker. Both had wonderful things to say about Bale. Parker said “Words can’t describe how well he is playing” he then said lots of words-all complimentary of his teammate of course. Joe Cole remarked that “ Bale could be up there with the premiership’s greatest players” high praise indeed Joey but would you really know?

Now there is no disputing Bale is the man of the moment, but you only have to look at the men who are singing his praises to know how quickly things can change in football. Parker was England’s next big thing after impressing with Charlton way back when, then he moved to Chelsea and things fell apart for him. To be fair I think Parker is a decent player and it is not his fault the English media built him up to knock him down but he is no superstar.

Joe Cole should be a lesson to Bale as well, the media Darling when he burst on the scene he was going to revolutionise England’s wing play and be a world superstar. That didn’t exactly work out now did it Joey?

In order to succeed Bale must ignore the spin from the likes of Cole and Parker and focus on his game. Work on the good aspects and stop falling over like a little girl who tripped over her skipping rope every week. If he starts to believe the hype he will end up in the same place as every other British media Darling, pilloried for not being the hero they thought he would be.

Gareth has a long career ahead of him and he would be better off watching how someone like Ryan Giggs behaves (ON the field of course) then listening to the crap spewed by pundits and premier league also- ran’s!

  1. Spot on with this write-up, I truly feel this webpage needs far more consideration. I’ll probably be once more to read much more, thanks for that information.
